Claire Wiley, Director of Grants and Operations

Claire Wiley joined the van Ameringen Foundation as the Director of Grants and Operations in December 2023. Claire brings more than ten years of experience in nonprofit operations, data analytics and program design to her role at vAF. Prior to joining the Foundation, Claire served as the Managing Director of Data Systems and Program Evaluation at The Door, a youth development agency in New York City. In this role, Claire led a team of data analysts in supporting The Door’s many program areas, including a federally qualified health center, workforce programs, a drop-in center for homeless youth, a legal clinic, arts programming and more.

Prior to The Door, Claire worked in fundraising at a nonprofit microfinance organization and before that, as a policy aide in the Texas House of Representatives. In her time in the Texas Capitol, Claire focused on legislation related to foster care and mental health care access.

Claire is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. She lives in Brooklyn with her partner, where she has lived since 2013. Some of her favorite activities include attending events at Pioneer Works and spending time in Prospect Park.
